Education

Ethiopia has made significant progress in improving the accessibility and quality of education to it citizens. Not coincidentally, this significant improvement was achieved through the massive effort of the integration of education with Information Technology (IT). While there are major challenges that need to be tackled to address specific sector related issues (such as remote area access and lack of modern infrastructure in vast sections of the country), innovation in IT has been shown to significantly boost the quality of education at all levels in Ethiopia. From providing on-demand, high quality digital and video content to enabling students to perform hands-on laboratory experiments to allowing teachers and educators be trained virtually, technological advancements in the delivery of educational content to the end users (students and educators) have yet again the potential to dramatically change the way education is made available to the vast number of students in Ethiopia.

With the help of learning from our successful projects in the past and eagerness to contribute to help modernize the future educational infrastructure in Ethiopia, USi wants to play its own role in improving the quality of education. We encourage anyone that has a role in education in Ethiopia (including the Ministry of Education and other agencies) to engage with USi in order to find solutions that can solve the major challenges facing this sector. We have the key knowledge and technical expertise to achieve phenomenal success in this endeavor and look forward to being one of the enablers for this massive transformation.
